Ravens sweep the series vs Valley Forge to improve to 4-6 in conference
Ravens win Game 1 6-3
Senior Zachary Nutley had the first 9 inning complete game win in program history giving up 1 earned run while striking out 6. Zachary Nutley is 3K's away from 100 career strikeouts.
After the game, the right-handed pitcher had this to say: "Left it all on the mound for 9 innings, every pitch with purpose. Proud to help bring home a huge conference win for the team." - Nutley
Offensively, the Ravens scored 3 runs in the bottom of the first thanks to three RBI singles by Jamen Palladino, David McKinney, and Brandon Peake. In the 6th, Luke Franklin had a 2 RBI triple to give the Ravens a 5-2 lead. Lastly, Samson Gerner scored Franklin on error to give the Ravens their 6th run.
Ravens win Game 2 4-3
Tim Shell started on the mound in the second game going 7.1 innings while giving up 2 earned runs. Sophomore Nick Vitale came into relief tossing 0.2 innings to get the Ravens out of a jam in the 8th. Lastly, junior Jack Lally came in to close out the game in the 9th while striking out 2.
Shell received his 3rd win of the season along with Lally's 2nd save.

Offensively, the Ravens didn't score until the 5th. Gerner got things started with a single and a stolen base. McKinney had an RBI double tying the game at 1. Shane Lennon then had an RBI double of his own switching spots with McKinney to put the Ravens up 2-1. In the 6th, McCarron grounded into a double play while scoring Peake. Gerner then reached on error scoring Nick Tanella to give the Ravens a 4-1 run.
Assistant Pitching Coach Michael Denton has this to say about "Our Pitchers kept us in both games today with strong starts from both Zach and Tim. Zach throwing well over 100 pitches in a complete game master class that resulted in one earned run. Tim going a strong seven with great performances by Vitale and Lally to send us home with two important wins. I am very proud of our pitching staff today leading the way."
