The Rosemont Baseball Program is proud to congratulate senior shortstop Luke Franklin on earning a spot on the Third Team All-Conference for the 2025 season. The United East Conference announced all award winners on May 14th. The four-year starter for the Ravens was the lead-off hitter and shortstop for 37 games in 2025. He collected the 100th hit of his career in early March, finished in the top ten in the conference in walks, and was 12th in total defensive attempts for the conference.
Franklin had this to say about this award: "Getting the recognition from the conference means a ton to me. It feels really rewarding after all the work I put in. I couldn't have done any of it without the constant support I had all year from my teammates, coaching staff, and family."
Head Coach Ross Trachtenberg shared his remarks: "Luke has been an outstanding player in our conference for four years. Last season he was on his way to earning post-season honors before an injury cut his season short. I am so glad that he is being recognized as one of the top players in our 14-team conference."
Franklin continued his thoughts on the eve of his graduation from Rosemont when he will accept his diploma next to 19 teammates: "Most importantly, I'm just glad I was able to do my part for the team."
Franklin majored in Sport Management and has already started classes in Rosemont MBA program.
"Luke is a special player who is incredibly deserving of this honor" Trachtenberg continued. "However, it was Luke's work ethic on and off the field that propelled his college career. He is dedicated to doing things the right way. He has truly been a model of consistently performing at a high level, which is a trait that will aid him well beyond his time at Rosemont."
