Rosemont, PA| The Rosemont Ravens Women's Volleyball Team Welcomed Penn State Schuylkill to the Hirsh Community Center for the Ravens Last Home Opener.
How it Happened:
Mya Hanford would get the Ravens on the board early with a kill assisted by
Jana Ehnot. Rosemont would trail 4-1 but rally with five straight points to capture an early lead, led by Enhot and her serving. The Nittany Lions would answer with a run of their own that was broken up with a kill from
Mikalya Moffatt.
Lori Shorten would add on for the Ravens with a kill of her own but the Nittany Lions would capture set one 25-8.
In the second set,
Pearl Smith would give the Ravens the first point of the set as she blocked a kill. The Nittany Lions would go on a run to build a large lead over the Ravens that they could not crawl out of.
Pearl Smith would add a kill late in the set assisted by
Mikalya Moffatt but their effort were not enough as the Nittany Lions took set two 25-5.
In the third set, Rosemont would fall behind early but they would not give up as
Lori Shorten would find a kill to get the Ravens on the board.
Brianna Porter would find a service ace followed by another kill from
Mya Hanford and
Pearl Smith. The Ravens would fall in the final set 25-10 and 0-3 in the match.
What's Next:
The Ravens will host a Tri-Match this Saturday in the Hirsh Community Center. They welcome York (NY) and University of Valley Forge to Rosemont as game are set to start at 11am. Go Ravens!
