Bryn Mawr, PA| The Rosemont Ravens Welcomed Penn State Brandywine to Alumnae Hall for an United East Matchup.
Starting for the Ravens was #1 Zaki Gomez, #2 Ty Jones, #3 Chris Taylor, #4 Brandon Moore, and #12 Tyler Jackson.
How it Happened:
Brandywine came out of the locker room hot, scoring on their first two possessions. Trailing early in the contest, Coach McGee burned a timeout early to re-engage his team. The Ravens battled as Tyler Jackon, Jaylyn Mason, and
Brandon Moore got buckets. The Nittany Lions defense forced Rosemont to take tough shots, limiting the scoring through the first half. Rosemont responded with rapid rotations keeping fresh legs on the floor, slowing down Brandywine's offense and forcing turnovers. Back to back threes for Rosemont by Gomez and Scarpulla brought them back within five points with three minutes remaining in the first half. Going into the half, the Nittany Lions pulled away with a small margin over the Ravens.
Coming out in the second, The Ravens did not give up, continuing to force tough shots and turnovers for Brandywine. Trailing by sixteen with ten minutes remaining,
Zaki Gomez drew a foul inside getting to the line, he would follow with a fastbreak layup after a steal by
Chris Taylor. Rosemont continued to battle until the buzzer, as Brandywine came away with victory in Alumnae Hall.
