Box Score Swarthmore, PA| The Rosemont Ravens Traveled to Swarthmore College, Taking on the Garnet at Clothier Field.
Yassine Zakkaria got the start for Rosemont;Â Swarthmore got out to an early lead on the Ravens in the first. Bringing in
Justin Gonzalez for relief in the first. Gonzalez settled in on the mound, getting through five outs clean for Rosemont.
Isaac Bugman tallied the Ravens first hit in the top of the third, but the Ravens were unable to drive him home as Patrick McCallister came in to start the third. Swarthmore would tack on two more as they took a 9-0 lead over the Ravens.
Rosemont responded in the top of the fourth after some words of encouragement from Coach Trachtenberg.
Brandon Peake reached on a single with one out, followed by another infield single by
Caiden Spinelli with two outs.
Tahj Wilson followed with a walk to load the bases for
Terrell Robinson. Robinson ripped a single into the outfield, scoring two and getting Rosemont on the board. Tommy Holton followed Robinson with a walk loading up the bases again for Bugman. Bugman reaching on an error by the Garnet, giving Rosemont another run cutting the deficit to six. Soloman Denmark came in for the fourth, not allowing any earned, but Swarthmore tacked on two more in the inning to extend their lead.
Larson Greenlee came into pitch for Denmark in the fifth as he was clean facing four batter and no runs allowed. Robinson stayed hot at the plate, leading off the top of the sixth with a single, as Masten followed with a single and two out. The Ravens were unable to bring them home as Alex Raush came in for the sixth inning. Rosemont allowed one to the Garnet in the sixth; In the seventh,
Caiden Spinelli singled with two outs, but their efforts were not enough as Swarthmore defeated Rosemont in seven inning 13-3.
What's Next?
The Ravens will be back on the road this weekend as they Travel to Saint Mary's College of Maryland to take on the Seahawks on their home field. The double header is set to start at 12:00 PM on Saturday March 21st.
