King of Prussia, PA| The Rosemont Ravens Welcomed The Giants of Keystone College to Heuser Park for an United East Conference Matchup.
How it Happened:
Alex Rausch got the start for Rosemont as they hunted their first United East Conference victory. Rausch was hit around in the first as his defense committed two errors in the field, bringing in Gisella Schiano with two outs. Schiano pitched through the second, allowing zero runs in her inning and a third.
Larson Greenlee came in for the third inning as the Rosemont defense continued to struggle. The Giants scored four more in the third to extend their lead to 0-11 over Rosemont. Jimmy Rodier came in for the fourth, going one-two-three in the fourth. The Ravens offense finally broke the ice in the bottom of the fourth as Joe Bentivegna singled with one out, Brandon Peake followed with another single putting two on, but the magic ran out as Rosemont was unable to score in the fourth.
Rodier continued to work in the fifth, striking out the side, feeding energy to the Ravens' offense. Tahj Wilson led off the bottom of the fifth with a walk, moving to second on a wild pitch. Brody Lykes came through with a single, putting runners at the corners and nobody out. Ryan Bowman grounded into a double play, but this allowed Wilson to score, putting the Ravens on the board. Rodier continued to work in the sixth, striking out the side for his sixth strikeout on ten batters.
The magic ran out in the seventh as the Giants' offense got two runners on, bringing in Yassine Zekkaira for Rosemont. Zekkaira only allowed one hit, but the Ravens trailed by thirteen, 1-14. In the bottom of the seventh, Caiden Spinelli led off with a walk, but Rosemont was unable to add on as they fell to the Giants.
