Rosemont Baseball Alumni Day

On Sunday, March 15, 2026, the Rosemont Ravens Baseball team took on the Lehman College Lightning. The doubleheader was played at Upper Merion High School with a 12 p.m. first pitch for Game One. It was Alumni Day at the ballpark for the Ravens as they welcomed back some past team members from over the years. Brett Angelilo, Giuseppe Bentrovato, Connor Cook, Brage Davis, Luke Frankin, current assistant coach Tommy George, David McKinney, Zach Nutley, Anthony Ranauto,  Sean Smith, Fabian Vega, Jack Woods, and Dom Younger were in attendance. Also, former Raven Baseball player Shane Lennon, manager Hailee Binney and former assistant baseball coach Adam McKinley were also in attendance.

In Game One, sophomore pitcher Carson Pence took the mound for the Ravens against the Lightning of Lehman. It was a very close game throughout as the Lightning and Ravens battled it out for 7 innings. In the end, the Ravens came out victorious 4-2. Graduate student Jimmy Rodier would come into the game after Carson in the 6th inning to continue to limit the Lightning offense. Pat McCalister would come into the game in the 7th inning and shut down the Lehman rally to earn the save and a Rosemont victory.  The Ravens capitalized on 3 Lehman errors and 6 hits of their own to score 4 runs and win this tightly contested ballgame.

In between Game One and Game Two, the Rosemont Baseball Program took a moment to recognize and thank all of the former team members and staff that helped to shape and contribute to the program since it began in 2021. This is the final season for the Baseball team and the last year of Athletics at Rosemont. Rosemont Baseball is trying to make this last season of sports the best it possibly can be. This was the first of 7 scheduled special event games for the team this season. Sister Peg and the Head of Alumni Relations Jenn Thorpe were also in attendance for these games as a nice surprise to the team.

In Game Two, sophomore Anthony Galli toed the rubber for Rosemont as they looked to go for the sweep against the Lightning. Rosemont would get off to a rough start allowing three in the top of the 1st. They cut the Lehman lead to 3-2 at the end of the 1st inning and the Ravens took the lead 5-4 at the end of the 2nd. The offense went off in the 5th inning and grew their lead to 16-4 at that time. The game ended 17-5 with a second win on the day for Rosemont and a sweep of Lehman College on Alumni Day.

Former player Dom Younger had this to say after the games: ''I enjoyed getting a chance to spend time with my teammates. I grew side-by-side with for the last four years. Joyful conversations arose while watching the game that we all love. It's sad to see the program ending, especially being on the inaugural team, but I am very proud of the team for playing with the grit they have, given the situation they are facing''. The Ravens have been working hard on the field this season and continued that this week against Keystone so far. Currently the Ravens sit at 5-14 on the season and will look to keep it rolling this weekend against Penn State Abington, Lancaster Bible, and Notre Dame of Maryland. Stay tuned for the baseball program's next special gamedays on April 10th for Underclassmen Day and April 11th for Senior Day.

Go Ravens!!!!
