The 2018–2019 season for Rosemont Men's Golf served as a powerful continuation of what had begun the year prior, as the Ravens proved that their initial championship run was no fluke. Instead, it was the foundation of something greater. With confidence, experience, and a growing sense of identity, the team returned to competition determined to defend its title—and did so in commanding fashion. This season ultimately marked the second of what would become four conference championships in a remarkable five-year stretch, further cementing golf as the most successful program in Rosemont Athletics history.
Rosemont's success once again stemmed from a tight-knit core of players who consistently delivered when it mattered most. The starting lineup featured Michael Lange, Jordan Cooke, Stephen Vye, Hunter Mickatavage, and Paul Fedele, each of whom played a critical role throughout the year. Supporting them were reserves Quentin Davis and Nathan Moore, who added solid depth to the lineup. Under the leadership of Head Coach John Manos, along with assistant coach Devan Everett, the Ravens continued to refine their approach and build on their championship mentality.
Throughout the regular season, Rosemont demonstrated consistency against a competitive field of opponents. While not every event resulted in a first-place finish, the team remained a constant presence near the top of the leaderboard. Their first invitational victory did not come until April, where they secured a victory at the Susquehanna Spring Invitational. Michael Lange and Hunter Mickatavage tied for first place, shooting +8 over two rounds. They followed that up with a 3rd place finish at the Rosemont Raven Invitational just a week later. These two invitationals gave the Ravens momentum heading into the conference championship, which took place on April 26th.
The Colonial States Athletic Conference Championship once again stood as the defining moment of the season—and once again, the Ravens rose to the occasion. Through sheer domination over multiple rounds, Rosemont outperformed the field to capture back-to-back conference titles. All of the Raven starters posted scores in the top seven, leaving no room for doubt of who the best golf team in the CSAC was. Michael Lange led the way with a +14 performance. Right behind him were teammates Jordan Cook and Stephen Vye, who posted scores of +18 and +19, earning them 2nd and 3rd place respectively. In 4th place was Hunter Mickatavage, who posted a score of +24. Last but not least, to round out the starting lineup, Paul Fedele placed 7th with a score of +29. The Ravens totalled a score of +72 as a team. The next best was Cairn at +149—a 77 stroke difference.Â
Beyond the numbers, what set this team apart was its unity and commitment to a shared goal. There was no reliance on a single standout performance; instead, it was a complete team effort that carried them to the top. The Ravens' ability to consistently place multiple golfers near the top of the standings underscored their dominance and highlighted the strength of their program.
The 2019 CSAC Championship reinforced Rosemont's emergence as a powerhouse in conference golf. More importantly, it solidified the culture that had begun to take shape, which was a culture rooted in winning attitudes and stellar coaching. With two consecutive championships secured, the Ravens were no longer simply building a legacy; they were actively defining it.
