Box ScoreROSEMONT – The Rosemont women's tennis team played competitively against the visiting Summit University Defenders in a CSAC match this afternoon, but when the light started to fade and the last game was played, it was Summit that came away with a 6-3 win over the Ravens. After the result the Ravens dropped their overall record to 0-10 (0-7 CSAC). The win for Summit was their first of the season (1-8, 1-5 CSAC).
The match was the Senior Day match for the Ravens, and the team paid tribute to their two graduating seniors, Nia Hall and Dani Lelie.
Lelie had a great day, having a hand in two of the three points earned by the Ravens. In the #6 singles flight, she won her match by a 6-0, 6-0 score. Lelie teamed up with Nyajah Solomon-McCloud to win the #3 doubles match, 8-1.
The other point came from Niemah Solomon-McCloud, who came through with a 7-6, 7-5 (10-3) win in the #3 singles flight.
The Ravens will travel to Neumann for their next match on Friday, 10/9. The CSAC event is scheduled for a 4:00pm start.
