Ravens Handed Defeat by Knights

ROSEMONT, Pa. – The visiting Knights of Neumann University (2-6, 2-4 CSAC) took care of business against the host Rosemont Ravens (0-10, 0-7 CSAC) this afternoon, with the Knights winning today's match by an 8-1 decision.

Under perfect weather conditions, the Ravens suffered losses in the three doubles matches to start the afternoon. The Rosemont tandem of Julianna Capece and Charli Fillmore made some noise in the #1 doubles flight, but were defeated 8-4.

Senior captain Emily Javitt won her match in the #2 singles flight, defeating her opponent by set scores of 6-4, 6-4. Charli Fillmore also made a good accounting of herself in the #3 singles, but came up short, 6-4, 6-3.

The Ravens will continue their home court schedule tomorrow when they will host the Keystone Giants at 10:00am. Please note that the starting time of this match has been moved up due to the expectation of precipitation on Saturday afternoon.
