Box Score BALTIMORE, Md. -- In boxing, a ten count means the end of a fight.
For the Rosemont Ravens women's basketball team, it has been an appropriate analogy. Because they have been landing haymakers and sending opponents to the canvas early and often.
The Ravens school record winning streak hit ten on Tuesday night as a impressive third quarter surge put Notre Dame away, rolling the Ravens to an 82-47 win over the Gators in a Colonial States AThletic Conference contest in Baltimore.
Rosemont (15-3 overall, 9-0 CSAC) now have their longest win steak since an eight gamer from Jan. 11-Feb 3, 2016. Â They have a three-game lead over both Notre Dame and Keystone for the division lead and home court advantage through the CSAC playoffs with seven regular season games left to play.Â
KEY MOMENT: While the obvious trend in the Ravens first eight league contest has been the early starts, it was a third quarter explosion that settled the issue on Tuesday night. After leading by nine at intermission (32-23), the Ravens busted loose with a 38-15 third quarter that resulted in the lead expanding to 70-38 at the end of the session. Rosemont shot 19 of 37 in the third quarter with 6-of-11 from beyond the three-point arc.
