Battling the course, the other teams and rainy, windy conditions, the men's and women's cross country teams turned in their best performances of the season on Saturday, October 1
st at the Dan Talbot Invitational. In the men's 8000 Meter Race, freshman
Ryan Olesky crossed the line in a school record of 29:26, good for 17
th place in a field of nearly 100 competitors. Sophomores Dominic Younger and
Jeremy Kapsa were the next Ravens to cross the line; each running personal best times.
For the women, first year runner Mara Kudla led the way. Kudla dropped nearly 8:00 from her previous 6K time, completing the course in 38:54. Next across the line was senior
Najah Coon, dropping nearly 4:00 from her previous season's best.
The Runnin' Ravens return to action this coming Saturday at the Cairn University Highlander Invitational. The men toe the line at 10:00, while the women go off at 11:00.
