For Rosemont College men's lacrosse player
Jayden Hogg, winning the championship his sophomore year was the perfect reward for a season built on hard work and resilience. Jayden said the best part of the championship year was officially winning and seeing his team's dedication finally pay off. According to him, what separated the Rosemont Ravens from other teams was simple: they wanted it more.
One of the most unforgettable moments of the season came during the third quarter of the championship game when the Ravens' goalie, Andrew "Juice" Menold made three incredible saves that shifted the momentum in Rosemont's favor. That spark helped energize the team and push them closer to victory.
Jayden also reflected on the adversity the team faced throughout the year. After a difficult start to the season, the Ravens stayed resilient and never lost confidence, eventually finishing with a championship run. Because of that experience, Jayden's advice to younger athletes is to never give up through the ups and downs.
As his time at Rosemont comes to an end, Jayden says he will miss the school's tight-knit community and the camaraderie he shared with his teammates the most. Beyond the games and championships, some of his favorite memories came from the simple moments, riding the bus to away games and grabbing lunch together as a team.
